Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

VIENNA, Austria — 23 December 2025 — Volunteers linked to “A Drug-Free World” Austria have expanded outreach in Vienna, engaging youth, families and educators via street information stands and community events. The Vienna effort is led by Gabriele Toker, the initiative relies on “Truth About Drugs” materials to present straightforward information on commonly abused substances, including the ongoing debate around cannabis, often cited as Europe’s most commonly used illicit drug. Organisers say, the Vienna activities focus on early prevention, including at large public gatherings such as the Donauinselfest, while also supporting teachers seeking prevention tools for schools.
